Isaac is the main character of Golden Sun. His story starts off when Mt. Adept caused that terrible storm when he was fourteen. The incident took the lives of Felix, Felix's parents, and Kyle (Isaac's Father). Or so they thought until 3 years later when in the elemental room of Sol Sanctum, Felix appeared with his rescuers and took the elemental stars, the four orbs of elemental power. The Wise One, the guardian of the elemental stars, gave Isaac and Garet the misson to recover the elemental stars.
Game infomation: You play as this character throughout the game and you start in Vale.

Home town: Vale
Garet, Isaac's childhood friend, possesses the psyenergy of fire and is gifted with great physical strength, making him a powerful party member. He was with Isaac when the elemental stars were stolen in Sol Sanctum and is also tasked with the mission of restoring the elemental stars to their rightful place by the Wise One. Garet is clumsy, quickly angered, and is secpected of eating anything.

Join location: Mayor's House in Vault
Ivam was raised by a merchant in the town of Kalay, but had no idea of who was his real family. Ivan at first didn't know that his powers are psyenergy and that he is an adept. Adepts were rarely seen in Kalay, Ivan is considered a strange guy by most of the villagers. Ivan was left in Vault in order to find the stolen rod which was his master's, Lord Hammet - the merchant. He meets Isaac and Garet in Vault and reads their minds, learning about their mission of the elememtal stars. He then decides to join the party.

Join Location: Mercury Lighthouse (a few floors up)
Mia is a mercury adept and she uses water and ice to attack and heal. Mia is a descendant of the Mercury clan which protects the Mercury Lighthouse from being lit. Mia was the only one that could heal the cold that was happening in Imil until Saturos's party lit the lighthouse which brought back the healing waters. She decided to join the party in order to stop Saturos's party to lit the other lighthouses.

Saturos is a Mars adept from the village farthest north, Prox, coming with the the mission to unseal the seal of the elemental lighthouses. He and Menardi were the ones that actually caused that storm in Vale which nearly killed Felix and his parents. But even though they were the villians of the game, they saved Felix along with his family while they saw them drifting down the river. Inexchange for saving Felix, Saturos and Menaradi forced Felix to help Saturos and Menardi lit the lighthouses.

When Kraden was young, the ruler of Tobi, Babi, heard about his intellect and took Kraden under his wing in as scholar of alchemy. As years passed, Kraden was ordered by Babi to study alchemy up close. Kraden traveled north to Mt. Adept and took residence in a small cottage at the village of Vale. One day, he went exploring secretly into Sol Sanctum with Isaac, Garet, and Jenna where he got kiddnapped along with Jenna by Saturos's party.
